CONTENT MODERATION POLICY
The MAYogu Content Moderation Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") defines the principles and scope of content moderation on the MAYogu Platform, aiming to guarantee a safe, respectful, and legally compliant user environment.
MAYogu is a group-based social networking platform, wherein content is only displayed to Users who have joined the corresponding group. MAYogu does not operate private chat functionalities and does not broadcast content publicly.
This Policy applies to all content generated during the User's access and utilization of MAYogu, including but not limited to posts, comments, profile information, group names, and any other content displayed on the Platform, regardless of whether such content is created within a public or private group.
This Policy constitutes an integral and inseparable part of the "MAYogu Terms of Service" and shall be applied uniformly with the "Community Guidelines & Standards" and the "Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy". In the event of any conflict of interpretation, the order of precedence set forth in the Terms of Service shall apply.
PRINCIPLES OF CONTENT MODERATION
Content moderation on MAYogu is carried out on the basis of respecting the User's freedom to share within the scope of using the services, while ensuring community safety, mutual respect, and compliance with legal regulations.
MAYogu does not perform manual pre-moderation for all content created and uploaded by Users. In operating the platform, MAYogu applies automated technical measures to support the detection, prevention, and prioritization of review for content showing explicit signs of violation under applicable laws, the Social Network Service Provision and Use Agreement, the Community Guidelines & Standards, and related platform policies.
Content moderation activities are executed through a combination of automated technical measures, manual assessments by the designated moderation team, and feedback/reporting mechanisms from the User community. Reviewing and handling content are conducted within the necessary scope, taking into consideration the group context, purpose of sharing, nature of the content, and degree of impact on Users or relevant entities.
MAYogu applies the principle of reasonable and consistent consideration in moderation activities; the absence of intervention or any delay in intervening against a specific content shall not be construed as an approval, confirmation, or warranty by MAYogu regarding that content.
LIABILITY FOR USER CONTENT
MAYogu conducts content moderation activities to ensure that Platform usage complies with the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines & Standards, and relevant legal regulations.
MAYogu does not pre-moderate all content created and posted by Users on the Platform. Moderation is only performed when necessary, upon reasonable grounds indicating that such content violates the Terms of Service, other MAYogu Policies, or legal regulations, or poses a risk of negatively affecting the User community.
Moderation activities are executed on the basis of evaluating the group context, the purpose of sharing content, and the degree of impact of the content on other Users. Content assessment is not absolute and may be executed differently based on the merits of each specific case.
MAYogu reserves the right, but not the obligation, to apply appropriate moderation measures under this Policy. Any failure or delay by MAYogu in executing moderation actions for specific content shall not be construed as an approval, confirmation, or warranty by MAYogu regarding that content.
GROUNDS AND TIMING OF MAYogu'S REVIEW AND INTERVENTION
MAYogu reviews and intervenes in Content on the Platform whenever one or more reasonable grounds arise indicating that such content has the potential to negatively affect the User community, group context, system security, or compliance with legal regulations.
Review and intervention may be executed at the time content is uploaded, while content is being displayed, or after content has been published, including but not limited to: (i) content reported by Users; (ii) content showing signs of severe violation of the Community Guidelines & Standards, Terms of Service, or legal regulations; (iii) upon lawful requests from competent state authorities.
Review and intervention regarding content are carried out within the necessary scope, taking into account the group context, purpose of sharing, the degree of impact of the content, and the legitimate rights and interests of the parties involved.
Any non-intervention, delayed intervention, or failure to apply enforcement measures by MAYogu against specific content shall not be construed as an approval, confirmation, or warranty by MAYogu regarding that content.
CONTENT MODERATION METHODS
Content moderation activities on the MAYogu Platform are executed through a multi-layered combination of methods to ensure that content reviews are conducted reasonably, in accordance with the group context and legal regulations.
Tier 1 – Moderation via Automated Technical Measures
During Platform operations, MAYogu may apply appropriate technical measures to support the detection or prioritization of content with explicit signs of violation, including but not limited to content related to system security, user protection, and legal compliance. These measures are utilized for the purpose of supporting moderation activities and do not replace human assessment where necessary.
Tier 2 – Moderation via Manual Assessment
Content requiring further contextual analysis, flagged content, or content involved in disputes may be manually assessed by MAYogu's designated team. The evaluation is carried out based on the group context, purpose of sharing, and degree of impact of the content to reach an enforcement decision aligned with relevant policies.
Tier 3 – Moderation Based on Community Feedback and Reports
MAYogu encourages Users to proactively report content or behaviors that they believe show signs of violating the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines & Standards, or legal regulations. Reports from the community serve as a key basis for MAYogu to review and assess content within the necessary scope.
The application of the aforementioned moderation tiers may be carried out independently or in combination, depending on the nature, severity, and context of each specific case. MAYogu does not guarantee that all violating content will be detected or handled immediately.
CONTENT EVALUATION CRITERIA
Content on MAYogu is evaluated based on its compliance with the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines & Standards, Privacy Policy, and other related policies and regulations promulgated by MAYogu from time to time.
Content evaluation is performed by taking into account the group context, purpose of sharing, degree of impact of the content, and the legitimate rights and interests of other Users and related parties.
This Policy does not supersede the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines & Standards, or Privacy Policy, but shall be understood and applied uniformly with the aforementioned documents. In case of any discrepancy in interpretation, the order of precedence set forth in the Terms of Service shall apply.
ENFORCEMENT MEASURES FOR CONTENT VIOLATIONS
Depending on the nature, severity, frequency, and consequences of the violating behavior, MAYogu may apply appropriate enforcement measures according to the following levels. The application of enforcement measures is not mandatory in a fixed sequential order and is decided by weighing the group context, degree of impact of the content, the User's compliance history, and legal compliance requirements.
Enforcement Level | Description & Actions |
Level 1 – Notification & Modification/Removal Request | Applied to minor violations, such as using prohibited words or content failing basic platform standards. The system may automatically reject the upload and notify the User to modify or remove it within 12 hours. If complied with properly, re-uploading may be reconsidered. |
Level 2 – Content Visibility Restriction & Additional Moderation | Applied to content showing signs of violation but not yet requiring account action, including: low-level violence, harassment, sexually suggestive content, unverified misinformation, spam, or intellectual property infringement. The platform will temporarily restrict visibility scope and route it to the moderation department for a retention or removal decision within a specified period. |
Level 3 – Temporary Account Suspension & Feature Restrictions | Applied to more severe violations that are repetitive or cause significant impact on other users, including: severe harassment, discrimination, invasion of privacy, impersonation, fraud, or self-harm behavior. The user's account may be temporarily suspended for a specified duration (expected 7 days) along with restrictions on privileges such as posting, commenting, or livestreaming. |
Level 4 – Account Termination | Applied to severe or exceptionally severe violations, including but not limited to: inciting violence, terrorism; asset fraud/scams; distributing pornographic content; child abuse; trading prohibited goods or services; or misinformation causing severe consequences. Accounts may also be terminated upon accumulating multiple Level 3 violations. Actions include a permanent account lock and revocation of all service access. |
Level 5 – Enforcement via Competent State Authority Requests | Applied upon lawful requests from competent state authorities, or when necessary to comply with legal regulations on information safety, personal data protection, and other legal obligations. Measures may include temporary or permanent account locking, restricting or removing content, and concurrently providing relevant information and documents in strict compliance with prescribed legal sequences and procedures. |
APPEALS AND RE-EVALUATION OF MODERATION DECISIONS
Users have the right to submit an appeal against content moderation decisions or account enforcement measures applied by MAYogu, if the User believes that such decision was made based on a misunderstanding, was inappropriate to the context, or did not fully reflect the relevant circumstances.
Appeals must be submitted through MAYogu's official support channels announced in the Contact Information section of this Policy, within a reasonable timeframe from receiving the notice of enforcement.
Upon receiving a valid appeal, MAYogu will re-evaluate the decision based on existing system data and logs, the User's explanation (if any), along with the provisions of the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines & Standards, and related policies. The review is conducted within MAYogu's reasonable scope of control.
The outcome of the appeal review may include upholding, adjusting, or revoking the applied moderation decision or enforcement measure. MAYogu's decision following the appeal review shall be final within the scope permitted by law.
Allowing an appeal does not give rise to an obligation to grant the User's request and does not limit MAYogu's right to apply other enforcement measures in accordance with the Terms of Service, related policies, and legal regulations.
